Today in Games: 4/15/14

Everywhere on the internet, PAX previews are drowning out the news. If you are trying to find the important news stories, it can be a pain. That’s why I’m here. You can check this list every day for the most up-to-date  news from the gaming industry. For  an example, look below as I list the top headlines for Tuesday, April 15th, 2014.

1) Nintendo announced a limited edition Princess Peach themed Wii controller. It’s really, really pink.

2) The last DLC for Borderlands 2, the awesome game that came out a year and a half ago, is now available for download. Sir Hammerlock vs. The Son of Crawmerax is 2.99 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

3) The second free DLC is out for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. This installment takes the crew out to a desert setting.

4) Respawn detailed their plans to support Titanfall through patchs. The periodic updates will help balance the game, make menu’s more user friendly, add gameplay feature’s and unlockables. As for gameplay addition, we have already seen the inclusion of Private matches in the most recent update, and the group announced that soon Titan’s can be customized in some manner.

5) Oculus Rift, who recently were bought by Facebook for 2 bil. dollars, announced how many Oculus they have sold. The new Dev Kit 2 has already sold over 25,000 units, while the original device is well over 600,000.

6) If you like Snoop Dogg, or Lion, then go get the new Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC which allows the rapper to narate your gameplay sessions.

7) Battlefield 4’s Naval Strike DLC is out now for all users, not just Battlefield Premium.

8) Atlus is bringing the Wii U and 3DS Political RPG Citizens of Earth to gamers soon.
