This Week’s Releases: 3/31-4/6

Another week, another batch of awesome games. Enjoy this while it lasts, because before long we will be in the midst of summer. For now, here are the notable games releasing this week across all gaming platforms.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace- PS3, Vita- 39.99- 4/1

The first Ragnarok title on Vita was a fun distraction during the consoles early days. Now a new entry is releasing, and this time for PS3’s as well. If you are into button mashing, Monster Hunter like titles then don’t miss it.

Goat Simulator- PC- 9.99- 4/1

That’s right, your dreams of simulating life as a rambunctious goat can finally come true. The game looks insane, awesome and fun in the best ways for crazy downloadables, so if you have 10 dollars and a few friends to distract keep goat Simulator on your radar.

MLB 14: The Show- PS3, Vita- 59.99, 39.99- 4/1

The baseball game that killed all other baseball games is back. If you want to play an MLB title this year, The Show is your only choice as 2K has stopped producing their disappointing challenger. That’s not a bad thing however, as the new title looks just as good if not better. Make sure that if you have a next gen system you wait for the PS4 edition in May, which already looks like a true step up for the franchise.

Mercenary Kings- PS4- 14.99- 4/1

Most of us will not be buying Mercenary Kings, but that is because it’s free for PS+ members. This 2D Contra/Metal Slug smashup is awesome, and features a deep weapon collection aspect. If you have a PS4, be sure to check it out.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition- PS3, PC, 360, Wii U- 19.99- 4/2

The handheld Batman title is coming to consoles today. The 2d Metroidvania title got mediocre reviews when it first released, but if you are aching for Batman: Arkham Knight then this is your best bet.

FTL: Faster than Light- Ipad- 9.99- 4/3

The insanely good PC strategy game is coming to Ipad along with a new Expansion. If you haven’t played the  title, then you have no more excuses, go get it as soon as it’s available.

The Elder Scrolls Online- PC, Mac- 59.99- 4/4

The Elder Scroll name lives on, and this time in an MMO. Word of warning, I have played about 20 hours of the beta, and those of you who expect a sequel to Skyrim will be sorely disappointing. The game is not good as an Elder Scrolls title, but rocks as an MMO, making the space feel fresh again.

These games are all coming to Wii U, but are remakes of Game Boy Advance Titles:

Game Boy Wars Advance 1 + 2

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

Metroid Fusion

Those are the new games you can get your hands on this week. Hope some of them catch your eye, Thanks for reading- Ethan H.
