Releases this Week: 3/24-3/30

Weekly3-24After two stellar weeks of releases, this one may seem like a small letdown. But for many this is week is just as good. Some really good niche games are coming this week, across a variety of genres to boot. With that said, let’s get down to the releases for thee week of March 24th.

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea- Part 2- PS3, 360, PC- 14.99- 3/25

The last DLC  for Bioshock Infinite is coming out. The last two pieces received mixed reviews and overall didn’t feel up to the studio’s usual caliber. Hopefully the final installment into the Bioshock franchise by Irrational games leaves gamers satisfied, but we will have to wait and see.

Fez- PS3, PS4, Vita- 12.99- 3/25

One of the games featured in Indie Game: The Movie is finally coming to Playstation platforms as a cross-buy game. The awesome puzzler has won numerous awards since it’s original release on 360, and at a special 10 dollar launch price for plus members it is worth your money.

Deus Ex: The Fall- PC- 9.99- 3/25

The mobile Deus Ex entry is making it’s way to PC’s this week. The first release saw critics deeming the game mediocre, while this time around it has so far been universally criticized. This title sounds like one to stay away from.

Cut the Rope: Triple Treat- 3DS- 29.99- 3/25

The insanely popular mobile title Cut the rope is making it’s way to Nintendo’s handheld this week.  This being the latest entry in mobile games releasing on consoles for an… exorbitant price. If you think the game is worth 30 dollars, please leave a picture of your receipt and tell us why in the comments or on Twitter.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma- PS3- 49.99- 3/25

The next entry into the long running 2d anime fighting series is here. In what will probably be the last BlazBlue seen on last-gen consoles, the new iteration sees upgrades across the board. From backdrops to moves to character animation, every area of this game has been gone over with a fine toot comb.

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunt- PS3, Wii U, 360, PC- 29.99- 3/25

The series that seems to never stop gets another title this week. I am not ashamed to say that I have played a game in the group before, but never again. If you are still enamored with the series however, pick up this years copy Tuesday.

Deception IV: Blood Ties- PS3, Vita- 59.99, 39.99 respectively- 3/25

The game about laying traps is back. After a time off the famous or infamous, series about laying traps and pulling off Mortal Kombat esque finishers has returned. If you have dreams of setting up haunted houses, this game is a must buy.

Destiny of Spirits- Vita- F2P- 3/25

A free to play title on the Vita, I don’t feel the need to explain it because it’s free.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls-  PC- 39.99- 3/25

The first expansion pack is finally here for Diablo 3. The pack includes a new character, extra story Act, and addition abilities for each class. The recently re-balanced game now is much easier to level up and get better loot, so there is no better time to get in on one of my favorite PC games of all time.

In the interest of time here is an abbreviated list of the weeks rest releases:

Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Warriors- PS3, PS4, PC, Vita- Prices Vary- 3/25

Total War Rome 2: Hannibal at the Gates- PC- 14.99- 3/27

The Witch and the Hundred Knights- PS3- 59.99- 3/25

Castlevania Lords of Shadows- Mirror of Fate HD- PC- 3/27

Airships- PC, Macintosh- 3/25

Carmageddon: Reincarnation- PC- 3/27

Hope some off the games from this week looked interesting, and be sure to check back next week for it’s releases. Thanks for reading,- Ethan H.
