GDC is officially over, and not a whole lot happened in the gaming realm as everyone has new games to play after Dark Souls II, Titanfall and Infamous: Second Son have all come out recently. In the interest of your own playtime, I’ll quickly present the news for March 21st, 2014.
1) For the biggest news of the day, Ubisoft revealed the next entry in the Assassins Creed series. Assassin’s Creed: Unity is set during the French Revolution and will release this holiday for both next-gen consoles. Look for a write up tomorrow of why I am more excited for this entry than the last three.
2) Diablo III is having a double XP weekend in advance of Reaper of Souls. Dues to the new balance structure introduced with Diablo III’s 2.0 update, leveling is considerably easier, and even more so this weekend.
3) Robotoki’s game Human Element, which had previously been announced for both next-gen consoles, both last-gen consoles and computers, is in development on Cryengine tech.
4) This weekend Xbox users can download a trial of the Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC.
Like I said, not a lot of news. Hope what was there piqued your interst, and Thanks for stopping by. I will update the story as needed and until tomorrow- Ethan H.
